The Heroic Order of Saint Zosimus is the dynastic family order of the Kassotis branch of Icaria who served as Phanariote Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and Lord Mayors of Icaria & Fourni for 3 generations during the 1800s. Its name pays homage to Georgios Zisis, the family’s Kasian founder who fought in the Greek War of Independence.

The Kassotis Clan Association is not in itself a noble incorporation but its main patrons, the Kassotis of Icaria are, as phanariotes and archons (lords/magistrates) of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople. 

It is with their authority that we award this order to both members and friends alike who promote our mission and cultural heritage. The current Grand Master of the order is the clan's Archon Offikialios (Greek: Άρχων Οφφικιάλιος) Pantelis Kassotis, GCStZ.
